About Ron

Dr. Ron Kraus is a NY State licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience as a professional therapist. Ron studied at Adelphi University in Long Island, NY and holds graduate degrees in Social Work (MSW), School Psychology (MA) and Clinical Psychology (PhD).

Since 1990, Dr. Kraus worked in the NYC metro area with individuals, children, adolescents, groups, couples and families. Ron worked as a psychologist in two mental health clinics and later as a Senior Psychologist in large New York City public hospital, specializing in both crisis intervention, and the treatment of children and adolescents. In 1994 Dr. Kraus opened his private practice in Rego Park, Queens.

In 1996, Ron volunteered for several days with the American Red Cross to assist those who lost loved ones on TWA flight 800.

As a result of the events of September 11, 2001, Dr. Kraus relocated from Queens to his current office at 333 West 57th Street in Manhattan. Ron worked with some of the children and adults who lost loved ones in the Word Trade Center tragedy.

Ron founded EmpathyOnline after originally creating StillRemember.com as a private memorial initiative. Since 2003, the memorial project allows family members and organizations free self-management of private memorials.

In addition to being the president of
OnlineClinics.com, a psychologist, author and editor, husband and proud father of two, Ron also enjoys playing Jazz on his trumpet with the Jazz Doctors, and teaching Core A and Core B classes at the Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
